Last Session in CVAP Journey - Week 4 Blog

Last session in CVAP Journey  It's our last session in our CVAP journey. For the past 4 weeks has been a incredible experience for me.  In this session we learned about how to make demo reels, voice artist resume, service agreement & how to recognize a red flag or yellow flag in a project you plan to take.  I never thought that in voice artistry that you also need a resume to apply for a role.  I thought that you only have to audition for the part. This session also tackled the legal stuff in service agreement that a voice artist should be aware. All the topics discussed in the AM session with trainer Ms. Lyn helps us to be prepared in the real world of voice artist industry.  The PM session was a Live Trainer Feedback on  one assignment that was submitted by the 10 voicemates.  I was one of those who get to get a slot.  I'm very thankful that they have this live feedback & I really appreciate their feedback on my Digital Ad & n...

The Beginning of Becoming a Voice Artist - Week 1 Blog CVAP

The Beginning of Becoming a Voice Artist  This journey started in the White Cane Safety Day 2024 Booth where CVAP was introduced to me.  The program is held every Saturday. It started it's first week last Sept. 06, 2024, the day before the training, with an acquaintance night filled with energetic vibes. In the first week of the program,  we get the feel of what it's like to be a Certified Voice Artist.  We virtually met our mentors & voicemates. One of our mentors is Sir Navi who, with his experience, taught the myths, requirements & the culture of Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP).  As an aspiring CVA, I thought that voice imitating was a requirement to be a voice artist. But it is just one of the myths and that voice artistry is not just voice imitation. We all have something to offer & we just need to find our voice authenticity.  The requirements of a voice artist is a willingness to be crazy, a team player & have a need to have a f...
