The Beginning of Becoming a Voice Artist - Week 1 Blog CVAP
The Beginning of Becoming a Voice Artist
This journey started in the White Cane Safety Day 2024 Booth where CVAP was introduced to me.
The program is held every Saturday. It started it's first week last Sept. 06, 2024, the day before the training, with an acquaintance night filled with energetic vibes.
In the first week of the program,
we get the feel of what it's like to be a Certified Voice Artist.
We virtually met our mentors & voicemates. One of our mentors is Sir Navi who, with his experience, taught the myths, requirements & the culture of Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP).
As an aspiring CVA, I thought that voice imitating was a requirement to be a voice artist. But it is just one of the myths and that voice artistry is not just voice imitation. We all have something to offer & we just need to find our voice authenticity.
The requirements of a voice artist is a willingness to be crazy, a team player & have a need to have a firm heart & mindset. You must strive to be creative, have a strong will & be passionate in your craft.
There were two quotes from "Pochology" that stuck to me. The first is "Someone out there needs to hear your voice." It implies that the story you share can make an impact to other peoples lives.
The other is "Have the Heart of the Lion, Vision of an Eagle & attack like a Hornet." Having a strong heart to accept the hardships that you will face and having a clear vision to not get lost in your path & make a positive impact to others in everything that you do like a sting of a hornet.
Excited to learn more in the upcoming week of training.
