 How My Monologue Materialized? 


Creating a monologue was one of our CVAP assignments.  It can be an original work or existed monologue. At first my plan was to do an existing tagalog monologue. So, I searche in youtube & nakita ko iyong seen ng anak ni Vilma Santos. Keri ko naman siguro sabi ko sa sarili ko. Ang lakas ng confident sa sarili eh :) 


Long story short hindi iyon ang sinubmit ko na monologue. Gumawa ako ng sarili kong script. Ang nakakaloka dun is madaling araw siya pumasok sa isip ko. Ganoon kasi ako pag madaming kelangan gawin nagiging active iyong utak ko to the point na hanggang madaling araw is may ideas na nabubuo sa isip ko. 


The story of my monologue is about a person with disability trapped in the life that a parent made for that person. So, here is the script of my monologue. 


English Version

You don't understand. You don't know how it feels like, to be caged, to live in darkness. 


Why? Why are you doing this?  You were supposed to guide and support me. I'm your child! 

Why confine me in this four walls. Its like you're ashamed. Ashamed of me. 


I didn't ask for this! I don't understand. Why? Why are you treating me this way?


Is it? Is it because you want to protect me, from the cruelty of this world? I'm not a bird to be caged. I'm a human with an own freewill. So, please allow me a little bit of freedom. This is suffocating me. 


Please Mama, please understand. 

Let me explore the world. Let me learn from my mistakes. Let me live my life with your guidance & support. 


So that I won't hesitate with fear in every step I take & to accept each opportunity with confidence in myself. 


So when the day comes that you are no longer in this world. I'll be able to stand on my own feet, with a strong will & confidence. That no matter the challenges I face, I'll head on to the world with head high.

How's My Journey Becoming a Voice Artist? - Week 2 Blog

How's My Journey Becoming a Voice Artist?  It's week 2 session of Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) & siksik, liglig & umaapaw na lesson na aming natutunan.  The AM Session was about Starting your Home Recording Studios/Recording from Home & our mentor is Sir Bryan. We got a virtual tour of Certified Voice Production"s Dubbing  Studio which is located in Makati. Learn about the different types of microphone & how to edit an audio using Audacity & Audition.  We also have a voice over activity &  I get to experience a movie trailer script. It's a new experience for me saying a script while NVDA read it to me.  It was a technical morning session & hopefully get the hang in audio editing.  In the PM Session the topic was about character voices. What's Up in My Journey at Certified Voice Artist Program? - Week 3 Blog

What's Up in My Journey at Certified Voice Artist Program? Ang bilis ng panahon, it's already week 3 session of CVAP, parang kelan lang kaka start lang namin. In the past 3 sessions, ang dami na naming natutnan.  This week 3 session, we learned about Efficient Practice Tips & Habits, Voice Care, Fueling up  Your Creative Juices with mentor Doc. Onie & mentor Ma'am Donna about Dubbing.  Learning the practice tips  & habits is very helpful, lalo na iyong tip para hindi mo makain iyong words mo, kasi may times na nakakain ko iyong words.
